This work analyzes the Hydrothermal Coordination, through the techniques of Genetic Algorithm (GA) coupled coevolutionary Cooperation. The hydrothermal coordination problem was made by a minimization of costs. To analyze this problem used a high complexity test systems consisting of 14 plants. This hydrothermal system was modeled with individual plants deterministic flow.
The simulations were performed using cooperation coevolutionary using four forms of decomposition problem, namely: Geographic, temporal, and Delta Waterfall. This decision aimed to analyze how best decomposition.
As a result we reached the conclusion that the best way was to Geographic breakdown which resulted in an improvement of more than 11% of the result compared to the result using only AG (without cooperation coevolutionary).
